Do you only carry romance books?

Yes, our bookstore specializes in the romance genre and carries a wide selection of romance sub-genres, such as contemporary, fantasy/paranormal, sports, erotica, mafia, dark, YA, clean, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC romances.
Are you hiring?

Unfortunately, we're not hiring at the moment. However, we post updates on our website and social media pages, so please stay tuned in case anything changes.
Do you carry books from indie authors?

Yes, we carry a mixture of indie-published books not easily found in chain stores and traditionally published titles to cater to a wide range of romance readers. Are you an indie author? We will plan on having an info page and intake form on how you can get brought into our store! Stay tuned.
I'm an indie author, how do I get my book in your store?

We're working on creating an intake form for you to let us know about your books. Our goal is to have it ready after the store is launched, so please stay tuned for more information! For the opening, we're focusing on bringing in a set number of titles from indie and traditional authors. But don't worry, we plan to expand our book selection. One thing to keep in mind is that we use Ingram as our book distributor, so if the books aren't available on their platform, unfortunately, we won't be able to bring them into our store at this time. Do you sell online and deliver?

Yes, we do! You can shop our online store at shopslowburnbooks.ca. At the moment we are only shipping within Canada.
Can I request a specific book to be added to your shelves?

Yes, we welcome requests for specific titles or authors to be added to our inventory. We'll do our best to fulfill your request and notify you when the book is in stock. We will be creating a form to take requests once our store is fully open.
Do you have a loyalty program?

Yes, we plan to offer a loyalty program for frequent shoppers. We will announce this program as soon as we have it set up in our system. Stay in the loop and be the first to know by subscribing to our newsletter.
Do you host events?

We host book signings, author talks, book socials, wine and cheese nights, writing workshops, and other community events related to the bookish community. Subscribe to our newsletter to stay in the know.
Do you sell book-related merchandise?

Yes, we carry a selection of book-related merchandise such as bookmarks, tote bags, mugs, and other items that are perfect for book lovers.
Do you offer gift cards?

Yes, we sell gift certificates in our store for physical purchases. We do not offer online gift cards at the moment.
